Updated regulations due to prevent the pandemic’s expansion

Unfortunately, also in the upcoming winter season 2021/22, we will be forced to deal with the pandemic. According to regulations made by the Swiss Department of Health, BAG, there is a certificate duty (Swiss or EU certificate which confirms that a person is vaccinated, recovered or tested) in all interior areas of restaurants and leisure facilities. This regulation is valid for all persons from the age of 16.

Furthermore, our foreign guests have to be informed about the updated regulations when entering Switzerland. In general, all people entering Switzerland are obliged to fulfill an entry form. Those who do not have a certificate, are obliged to make a Covid test when entering Switzerland, as well as 4 to 7 days after entering Switzerland. Please find detailed information on the BAG’s official homepage.

The winter destination of Arosa will again make a very special offer for its youngest guests in the coming winter season: in winter 2018/2019, children will be able to attend the ski school in Arosa free of charge! With this, Arosa will create a real added value in the coming winter. Group ski courses will be included in the prices for overnight stays for all young guests up to the age of 17. This generous offer applies from two overnight stays in selected hotels and holiday flats in Arosa. Hotel Prätschli is one of them!

Fewer and fewer children and adolescents go skiing these days, and this is how the Swiss “national sport” is becoming less and less important. Arosa would like to get its young guests going to the pistes again and thus to awaken the joy of snow sports. With two friendly and successful snow sports schools, Arosa has a leading position in Switzerland in the area of children’s ski schools. With all this, the destination provides ideal condition for training young snow sports talents. In addition, there is a wide range of high-class hotels and holidays available, and further activities, such as winter hiking, ice sports, cross-country skiing, and much more; packages that guarantee unforgettable holidays in Arosa to the whole family.

First full winter season for the largest ski region of Grisons covering 225 kilometres of piste

Pleasant anticipation amongst winter sports enthusiasts is very high following the excellent feedback of last winter: The ski connection Arosa-Lenzerheide is going to start its first full winter season on Saturday, 29th November 2014. The largest contiguous ski region of Grison so far with its 225 kilometres of pistes and 41 facilities (railways and lifts) also belongs to the top ten snow sports regions of Switzerland.

Geographically, Arosa and Lenzerheide are only two kilometres of beeline apart, but they are separated by the of Urden valley. For this reason, the 1.7 kilometre long Urden railway between Hörnli and Urdenfürggli is the modern centrepiece of the new ski area connection of Arosa-Lenzerheide. The first laying of rails dates back to around 40 years ago. After a real marathon of planning, coordination and permissions, the actual construction period was no more than nine months, and this in spite of extremely difficult conditions in a high alpine terrain.

The ski connection, opened on 18th January 2014, has in the meantime been highly valued in winter sports circles. Skiers and snowboarders can look forward to terrific downhills of all categories, perfectly groomed pistes and deep snow slopes, but also to culinary and convivial flights in cosy cabins and stylish mountain restaurants.
