With the fusion of the two skiing areas Arosa and Lenzerheide by a connecting lift, you now have 225 km of ideally groomed pistes at your disposal. The snow sports area attracts both “easy-going” skiers as well as ambitious winter sports enthusiasts. 45 modern transport systems take you up.

Beginners will also find perfect conditions. With the discounted Tschuggen Pass you can take things a little more slowly without fearing black pistes.

Or you can start out with professional instruction: Via the Swiss ski and snowboard school we would be pleased to organize a competent ski instructor for you, either as private instruction or group instruction.

WINTER HIKING

Whether directly along the ski run or away from the hustle and bustle surrounded by pristine snow-covered slopes: The 60 kilometres of winter hiking trails that are groomed daily and offer variety as well as different degrees of difficulty. Every alpine restaurant can be reached by ski as well as by foot.

Or leave all cares behind on a romantic ride in a horse-drawn sleigh. There are different routes to choose from starting from the railway station.

SLEDGING

Many sledging routes offer fast fun for young and old alike. Just a few steps from our front door, you will find the Prätschli piste leading into the village; its course is separated from the pedestrian path and is lighted during the night as well. Of course, the sledging fun is unlimited: Simply take the bus up to the starting point near the Prätschli and sled down the hill again.

More suitable for advanced sledgers is the Tschuggen sledge run that starts from the Tschuggen hut and snakes down fast and winding to Innerarosa. At the end of the run you and your sledge can ride back up to the starting point with the new four-person gondola “Kulm”.

A sledging excursion to Litzirüti is another possibility. The pleasant mix of sledge run and hiking path takes you through an idyllic landscape to the next village. From there, you can conveniently return to Arosa by the Arosa Railway.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

There are several cross country slopes in Arosa (in total 30 km of slopes): Maran (just two bus stops away from Prätschli), Ochsenalp/Prätschalp (Panorama slope), at Isla and on the lake Obersee (if weather conditions allow).

Beginners can book a cross country instructor at the Swiss Ski and Snowboard School of Arosa. If you need to rent your equipment you can do so at the Carmenna Sports Shop in the center of Arosa.
