At the Hotel Prätschli the entire winter sports world of Arosa with its rich variety of possibilities is right in front of you. We provide our own Sport-Shop to ensure that you can also find the right equipment in our hotel.

Those who are looking for rejuvenation without physical exertion and simply want to relax, can shake off the day-to-day stress in our Wellness and Beauty area. Our young hotel guests also have their own little kingdom in the Kinderwelt.

SKIING / SNOWBOARDING

Thanks to the high, and sun-drenched location of Arosa, and the guaranteed snow, you will find ideal pistes and ideal snow conditions practically throughout the entire winter season. With 70 km of ideally groomed pistes and approx. 30 km of freeride slopes, the snow sports area attracts both “easy-going” skiers as well as ambitious winter sports enthusiasts. 13 modern transport systems take you up. Moreover, in weekly alternation the Arosa Bergbahnen (Arosa mountain railways) offer interesting supplemental events such as night skiing or skiing by moonlight when there is a full moon.

Beginners will also find perfect conditions. With the discounted Tschuggen Pass you can take things a little slower without fear of black pistes.

Or you can start out with professional instruction: Via the Schweizer Skischule Arosa (Swiss Ski School Arosa) we would be pleased to organize a competent ski instructor for you, either as private instruction or group instruction

WINTER HIKING

Whether directly along the ski run or away from the runs and surrounded by pristine snow-covered slopes: The approximately 60 kilometres of winter hiking trails that are groomed daily offer variety as well as different degrees of difficulty. Every alpine restaurant can be reached by skiers as well as hikers.

Or leave all cares behind on a romantic ride in a horse-drawn carriage. There are different routes to choose from that start from the railway station.

SLEDDING

Many sledding routes offer fast fun for young and old alike. Just a few steps from our front door the Prätschli piste that runs into the village starts; its course is separate from the pedestrian path. Naturally the sledding fun is unlimited: Simply take the free bus up to the starting point near the Prätschli and then sled down the hill again.

More suitable for advanced sledders is the Tschuggen Schlittelbahn (sled run) that starts from the Tschuggen hut, and snakes down fast and winding to Arosa. At the end of the run you and your sled can ride back up to the starting point with the new four-person gondola.

A sledding excursion to Litzirüti is another possibility. The pleasant mix of sled run and hiking path takes you through an idyllic landscape to the next village. From the next village you can conveniently return to Arosa with the Arosa Railway

CROSS COUNTRY / SNOWSHOEING

Just two bus stops or a short walk from the Hotel Prätschli, you will find the Maran cross country and snowshoe centre. Here you can rent the necessary equipment and also book private lessons and introductory lessons. Whether classic technique, skating, Telemark, snowshoe or Nordic walking - here you will find individual advice and service.
